Alleged images of Samsung Galaxy Note III prototype surface online

Samsung might not have officially announced anything about its next generation Galaxy Note smartphone, the Galaxy Note III, but that doesn't stop rumours surrounding it from surfacing, every now and then. The latest one claims to reveal the internal components of the device.

A Chinese publication, C Technology has posted some images of a device that, according to it, could a prototype or test unit of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note III phablet.

The pair of photos that has been posted on Chinese forum Weibo by C Technology shows front and back panels of the alleged Galaxy Note III device. The image of the back panel reveals a slot for the stylus while the front panel shows a stretched physical Home button which has been seen on other Galaxy devices like the Note II, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III. However, there's no way to confirm that the phone in the images is the Galaxy Note III.

The site claims that the device pictured, is an engineering unit with a Samsung logo; however, the branding has been censored from the image.

Earlier, it was reported that the Galaxy Note III is likely to feature a 5.7-inch display, 3GB of RAM and the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It was also said that Samsung, first tested the Galaxy Note III with a 5.99-inch display but finalised a 5.7-inch one, considering the market response to the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3. Other leaked specifications suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note III could sport a Super AMOLED panel similar to Samsung's other high-end devices with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
